Food, Housing, and Other Basic Needs:
Challenges securing food, housing, and other basic needs like toiletries and textbooks may seriously affect performance in this course and your other classes. It’s near impossible to listen intently in class, to participate actively and enthusiastically, and to complete assignments well and in a timely fashion, if you are hungry, live in unstable housing, or don’t have access to other basic necessities of life. I earnestly encourage any student who faces such needs to notify me. As your instructor, I’m committed to providing you with as many opportunities as possible to learn and succeed at Sac City, and to eliminating any barriers to do so.
